The "nofollow" is an HTML attribute value used to instruct some search engines that a hyperlink should not influence the link target's ranking in the search engine's index. It tells the search engines not to count this link in their search ranking calculations. This could be of use for your own search engine ranking if you had pages with many outward bound links. You can download it here - Download - The price is €5.00. How it works -

Have you enabled it?
Have you filled in the sections / categories etc correctly?
Are your articles in Sections/ Cats so the plugin can operate or are they Uncategorised?
Answered by email as well.

Thank you for providing this great plugin. I was just wondering whether you will be expanding it's capabilities in the future? (such as option to have all external links open in new page, integration with MyBlog, perhaps adding Google Analytics tracking to external links, etc) - even if meant a commercial version for a small fee, then I'm sure most people wouldn't mind & would understand your time is money etc, also many free Joomla extensions seem to be being dropped a lot by developers lately, so maybe a commercial version could help support the free version....
Just a thought anyway, regards KB.
Does this work with the sh404sef component?
Would it be possible to make one of these for Joomla 1.0?
Thanks in Advance
Contact me via the contact page please.
Thanks.
After 550 downloads your the second to say that they have had problems...
Thanks.
1) do I list all categories, even though I have listed all sections?----
If you list just the section then all categories will have nofollow.
If you then add cats from the section then only they will have nofollow
2) does this plugin work on menu links ('blogroll' etc) or just on links within the article content?----
Only on content, the plugin is called when the com_content is called
3) does this work on the front page? or just section/category/article pages?---
Should do but never tried, I only use static frontpage
4) are there any known conflicts with other plugins/components/modules that I need to be aware of? ---
Never had any reported and it only regexpression replaces a tag so unlikely..
Re page rank, did you 301 redirect from your old url to the new?
I changed to this site from my old one in December, 301'd all the ranked urls and my PR4 came with me after a couple of days...
Have you submitted the site via Google webmaster tools, always helps..
Plugin looks great, and am trying without success to get it working on my article directory/blog with over 3,500 articles.
I am running J1.5.8 in Legacy Mode.
Since moving articles from Wordpress installation to Joomla eight months ago, pank rank has dropped from '4' to 'unranked', and I am hoping that your nofollow plugin will assist with my PR. (any other comments and suggestions are appreciated)
I have installed and activated the plugin, and if I am reading your instructions correctly I then add ALL sections and ALL categories of articles for which I want NOFOLLOW to be placed?
I have done this (13 sections, 51 categories) and yet the NOFOLLOW metatag does not appear on any page (frontpage nor on article pages).
To clarify,
1) do I list all categories, even though I have listed all sections?
2) does this plugin work on menu links ('blogroll' etc) or just on links within the article content?
3) does this work on the front page? or just section/category/article pages?
4) are there any known conflicts with other plugins/components/modules that I need to be aware of?
Thanks in anticipation.
Please contact me if you want this done
Yeah, it has been posted but at last look it was a total of 69 extensions to go through before they review the extension for approval!
Sounds like they need some help!
Thank you very much.
You should post it in joomla extensions website.
