Our very popular Joomla nofollow plugin has been updated to Joomla 1.7 compatibility. The "nofollow" is an HTML attribute value used to instruct some search engines that a hyperlink should not influence the link target's ranking in the search engine's index.
We have now updated it to exclude chosen authors from having a nofollow link.
This could be of use for paid links etc, when the payment is recieved the nofollow attribute can be switched off for that particular user.

How it works -

If the page is from a category enabled via the parameters the plugin is parsed unless the page id is specifically excluded.
It also excludes any authors whose IDs are entered in the parameters.
It parses the page content for links.
It then inserts the rel="nofollow" attribute on any link that is not form the site, i.e. only external links.

N.B. If you enter a Category ID then all articles in that Category will have nofollow except if they are entered in the ignored articles box.

Installation -

Install in the normal way via Extensions-->Install/Uninstall.
Enable the plugin via Extensions-->Plugin Manager.
Insert the category id of the articles you want to include the rel="nofollow" in.
You can exclude particular articles by inserting their id in the 3rd text box.
You can exclude particular authors by inserting their id in the 4th text box.
Multiple id's should be comma separated, no spaces e.g. 3,4,5
You can choose whether the external links open in a new window i.e. include the target="_blank" parameter.

The links will be changed from -

to
<a href="http://www.GJCWebdesign.com" rel="nofollow">GJC Web Design</a>
